Apollomics (NASDAQ:APLM) stock soared 76% midday Friday, the day after the biotech company reported encouraging results for its drug vebreltinib in treating glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive type of brain cancer.
On Friday, company said that a patient with glioblastoma multiforme, or GBM, with PTPRZ-MET fusion who had been treated previously with radiotherapy and temozolomide was reported to have an “impressive partial response” after eight weeks of treatment with vebreltinib as a monotherapy.
The information was presented by the Veneto Institute of Oncology at the European Society of Medical Oncology Congress, held in Spain early this week.
